Tourist attractions

Pula – only a 15-minutes' drive from Peroj is the largest city and port in Istria, a communication, economic and administrative center, an attractive place to spend a holiday in Istria. There is a large number of cultural historic monuments from almost all periods of its past. The best known and most valuable ancient monument is certainly the "Arena", the majestic coliseum, dating from the second century, the sixth largest in the world. As a tourist center, Pula offers a large number of various cultural and entertainment events throughout the year. Summer events in open air in the coliseum offer a lot of international classic and pop concerts and a film festival.

National Park Brijuni is an extraordinary blend of natural, historical and cultural heritage. The mild climate and favorable geographical conditions have secured a continuum in the human activity on the island from a pre-historic age until the present day. There are some hundred sites and buildings of archaeological and cultural-historical value from the first Neolithic settlements. The sightseeing tour Veli Brijun includes a ride by tourist train, a visit to the historical monuments and a safari park. There are a summer theater with dramas (Shakespeare) and music events on the Mali Brijun Island. You can reach the largest island, Veli Brijuni, with a boat "Veli Brijun" from the port.

Fažana  only a 5 -minutes' drive from Peroj, with numerous charming bars and restaurants along the seaside promenade. It is a small port and fishermen's centre, and main activities include fishing and fish-processing with lots of cultural and gastronomic events during summer festivals.

Rovinj – a 20-minutes' drive from Peroj, the town is situated on the west coast of Istria. The people of Rovinj make their living mostly out of tourism, fishing, agriculture, winemaking and viticulture. One of the most developed tourist destinations in Croatia, boasting rich natural and cultural heritage with beautiful landmarks such as the old town and the lush Zlatni rt (Punta corrente) forest. Rovinj's tourist offer is closely related to sports, recreation and entertainment. The famous night club "Monvi" makes your holidays more exciting.

Vodnjan – a 5 -minutes' drive from Peroj, local political and economic center, retains the authentic Istrian flavor with nice architectural details. There is a unique baroque 18th-century church of St. Blaise. Pleasant enough on the outside, it's the interior that draws visitors' attention. Behind the main altar of the Church of St. Blaise and in a separate room lie the desiccated remains of six saints that were, in effect, mummified. In addition to the "mummies", the church reliquary contains 380 relics enclosed in glass. People of Vodnjan and Peroj make their living mostly out of agriculture (olive oils and wine).

Sports

Bicycle trips – by far the best way to discover the magic of Istria is by bike. More than 60 marked bike trails plus dozens of scenic coastal paths criss-cross the region providing healthy sightseeing excursions for riders of all abilities.

Trekking – the Istrian inland offers endless green landscapes colored with vineyards. Old villages reflect historical and cultural heritage. Hill walks around the medieval villages and strolling along inland trails tucked deeply into the Istrian peninsula will enrich your senses.

Water sports  a 5 -minutes' drive to a campsite (beach voley, diving , surfing, rent a motor/sailling boat, sea kayak, tenis...)

Windsurfing  Istria has always been an interesting windsurf destination in this part of Europe, but its popularity has grown even more, especially in the last few years. The national "Kamenjak" park in Premantura, a 30 -minutes' drive from Peroj is an ideal place for it, even for extreme windsurfing.

Golf  In your golf career, have you ever played golf in the company of deer, mouflons, rabbits and peacocks? Have you ever putted on sand greens? If you are looking for a completely new experience of playing golf, then the Brionian golf course should definitely be your next destination. On the Brionian islands, golf is played on a unique golf course dating from 1922, which then acquired the flattering title of one of the largest and naturally most beautiful golf courses of that time. On the reconstructed 18 holes of the onetime largest golf course in Europe, you can still experience the enchantment of playing amid untouched nature.

Boat fishing  fishing enthusiast would like you to spend the night with professional fishermen? Waters of Fažana are rich with white and blue fish and fishing could be a real thrill especially during the night time.
